Baytech Electrical & Data have just completed another Automation project with PLC and Touchscreen controls. This system was a turn key setup and involved initial consultation with our client with design from their thoughts about what they wanted. After discussions and agreeing with a design concept we put our skills to work and delivered a system that not only works well but looks great and performs all the tasks required with a few additions we put in for free to just make it that little bit better.
To get the results we were looking for we used a Panasonic FP-X PLC with a Red Lion G306 HMI 6 inch Touchscreen. These two devices are renowned for reliability with high processing power required for the task.
The project was for a plant nursery inside of a custom built greenhouse. The system controls the temperature to 12 seperate plant tables, keeping the plants at ideal growing conditions. We have also added controls to maintain the correct humidity and temperature through a misting system that is automatically operated whenever the system is on.
